WSU Cougars hold on for statement win over No. 19 Wisconsin in Pullman | The Seattle Times

After seasons struggling in building up the program, Washington State has finally reached new heights and has finally won the Pac 12 Conference Championship. The program previously competed in the championship game in 2022 against Hiram Maronde's UCLA Bruins and were routinely sent home. Now, after two seasons of building the program with a new identity, Coach TuscanSota has taken the Cougs back to the championship, walloping the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis in a 45-26 victory.

Fans and players alike celebrated last night when the Cougs arrived home to Pullman with the championship trophy in tow. Starting QB Pat Niang was seen raising the trophy alongside teammates Sr CB Hoby Watt and (Jr) LT Boban Donahue.

"We did the impossible, and finally earned the trophy. Nothing can stop us now." Niang was quoted in an interview that evening.

Coach TuscanSota, however, has his eyes set on another prize. When asked about post-season aspirations for the Cougs, coach had this to say:

"We now have a conference championship and hope to finish off the season on a strong note with the Apple Cup. We're currently 8-3 and doing our best to show the playoff committee that this team has what it takes to play on the big stage."

The Washington Cougars celebrate a conference championship victory, and now this week they will take on the Washington Huskies at home for the Apple Cup. Will the Cougars finally win their first Apple Cup in sim history? Or will UW find a way to upset their competition and playoff aspirations?
