SageBow Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 (edited) Inspiration taken from: https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades.php Round 1 1. Tennessee Titans: Garrett Smith, SS, Baylor - A- Grade The Titans go up and get their top defensive player on their board. The big DB from Baylor goes #1 overall to the Titans and matches up FS Sergio Collins in the defensive backfield. Excellent player, excellent pick 2. Miami Dolphins: Arden Ejiofor, WR, Louisiana-Lafayette - C+ Grade The Ragin Cajun's see their top wide receiver go #2 overall to the Fins in a shocker. The 5-10 173 lbs receiver is the first offensive player taken off the board in a shocker to the crowd, leading to a pause in the draft. Dean Hammonds has a new weapon to throw to, but is the value really there? 3. Carolina Panthers: Ruben Shazier, C, Alabama - B- Grade The Panthers go with an offensive lineman with their selection at #3 and its a shocker. First OLman off the board is a center who was an excellent road grader for the Crimson tide this past season and will be a monster in Charlotte for years to come. 4. New York Giants: Paul Canha, WR, Alabama - A Grade Back to back Tide players go and the Giants have potentially the best WR in this class. Thatfunk takes his mega star up to him to New Jersey for one of the most dominant speed threats entering the NFL. 5. Carolina Panthers: Vince Gresham, DE, Oregon State - B Grade Gresham joins an edge rusher front on the opposite of Aaron Stokes to have an insane 1-2 punch on their defense. Shazier on offense, Gresham on defense, a huge improvement in the trenches. 6. New Orleans Saints: Stansly Alvarez, CB, LSU - B+ Grade Second DB taken in the class is the talented man corner from LSU staying home to the New Orleans Saints. A dynamic player that excelled at the combine, Alvarez combined with Arthur Medrano to be one of the best CB pairings in the league. 7. Houston Texans: Hiram Maronde, QB, UCLA - A Grade The top QB comes off the board and its an amazing selection. One of the best pure athletes in the class finds a home in Houston to be their signal caller and future of the franchise. 8. Atlanta Falcons: Logan Lopez, DT, Houston - A Grade The best DT in the class goes at 8 to be the starting force for the Falcon's defensive line. A monster that pushes through to open up holes for star linebacker Karl Rosania, the Falcons crush it with a 3 down DT in the first. 9. Seattle Seahawks: Clayton McGee, RB, Florida State - A Grade The best RB in the class and only early dec goes to Seattle who's desperately needed a running back to help take the load off of Kemoko Allard. Amazing pick with one of the most productive half backs in the history of the college game 10. New York Jets: Marvin Thomas, WR, LSU - D Grade The first true yikes of the draft. The Jets are trotting out Philly reject QB Luke Trahan and get a WR at 10th overall? Wild. Jets fans are incensed. They traded up for this. Insane, its not even Logan Njoku 11. Jacksonville Jaguars: Zac McCutchen, CB, Missouri - C+ Grade 2nd CB off the board is a huge surprise to the crowd. Not Hilliard, Not Voth, its McCutchen, Jags must really loved him. Jags need him to contribute, Franklin Kirchner is just a middling CB1. 12. Los Angeles Chargers: James McKinnon, DE, Miami (OH) - A Grade Chargers trade down and still get an excellent defensive end. The 3rd defensive lineman comes off the board and its MAC star James McKinnon. Even though Whit Wilson is still there, he's an excellent player taken to go to Los Angeles! 13. New York Jets: Davis Covey, ILB, Charlotte - A Grade First linebacker off the board and its the elite linebacker from Charlotte. Another sun belt fun belt selection, he joins Christian Palardy as another 1st round linebacker from a secret linebacker U 14. Green Bay Packers: Connor Hardison, CB, USC - D Grade Wow, a shocking selection for the 3rd CB off the board. Packers reach for Hardison while Voth and Hilliard are still available again. Might be a scheme selection, but Green Bay looks to have gone deep in their pockets. 15. Cleveland Browns: Mike Penny, OT, TEX - D Grade A massive reach. First OT goes off the board and its not Wolters, Ingram, or Smith. Browns need a blind side protector and again another team reaches really far. 16. Baltimore Ravens: DaVonte Logan, OT, MICH - D Grade Back to back tackles and back to back reaches. Wow what is going on with the GMs truly insane. Top OTs are still available but GMs just don't want them. 3 17. New England Patriots: Logan Njoku, WR, Kentucky - A Grade Outstanding route runner goes to the Patriots to team up with young QB Rashaan Lyons. Patriots prioritize weapons for their new shiny QB and they are a team that got lucky with teams reaching for other WRs earlier. 18. Buffalo Bills: Jourdan Connor, OLB, Oregon State - D Grade Wow, an outside linebacker to the Bills. Such a niche player but he's very fast. OLB was a weak position in this draft class, the Bills just really needed a body in that room and #BillsMafia is trusting their FO that this isn't truly a D grade. 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: T.Y. Hubbard, DT, Syracuse - D Grade A DT leaves the board and its a shocker again. Hubbard goes way before anyone expected, but the Bucs just love him. Hope he performs, the fans are gonna be going nuts that it wasn't Dante Gates or Phillip Bell 20. Philadelphia Eagles: Whit Wilson, DE, Oklahoma State - A Grade Potentially the #1 defensive end in the class falls all the way to the Eagles at #20. Shocker as the Eagles just take the best falling player, whats new. 21. Chicago Bears: Giannis Wright, CB, Air Force - C Grade Bears go for another corner way before Voth/Hilliard/Parks go. GMs are clearly valuing something different in CBs that what the consensus seems to have been. Not too big a reach as they continue to build defense around Jehu Ginn. 22. San Francisco 49ers: Andrew Solano, QB, TCU - D Grade Disaster pick. The 49ers go from one project QB to another. This is a shocker. The Bay area is hoping that the national championship runner up is their future signal caller. 23. Detroit Lions: Richard Bianchi, RB, Hawaii - A Grade Perhaps the most electrifying running back in college football yesterday. Bianchi is an absolutely freak and was a hero for the Rainbow Warriors his entire career. He joins an excellent Lions offense as an instant starter over Cooper McGough 24. Carolina Panthers: Kelvin Dupree, RB, Kentucky - WHAT THE HOOKER GRADE (D Grade) Wow an NFCS trade in the draft as the Falcons trade with the Panthers. Running Backs go back to back and the Panthers have a future RB, but its shocking value, especially trading up to get one of the least valued positions in football. Lots of drama around this as either the Panthers or Falcons will clearly win this trade. 25. Los Angeles Chargers: J'Mon Wolters, OT, Utah - A Grade THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINEMAN COMES OFF THE BOARD STAYS IN BESTCOASTWESTCOAST. A GRADES ALL AROUND. #SWOLEGOD HAS ARRIVED 26. Miami Dolphins: Mike Hubbard, OT, TCU - D Grade Back to back offensive linemen go off the board and another shocker. Hubbard goes ahead of Trevon Ingram and Francisco Smith. Wolters was an amazing pick, Hubbard a bit of a reach. Miami does get a good pass blocker here. 27. Kansas City Chiefs: Ronald Cimber, WR, Miami (FL) - D Grade The Hurricane's star WR goes to the Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs needed a ton of talent on offense and we see why they went to that position, but with Trevor Wood and Jordan Suter still on the board, this is a bit of a reach. Combine hero. 28. Arizona Cardinals: Tony Vavaro, OT, Northern Illinois - A Grade An excellent run blocking offensive tackle and a monster road grader. This is an excellent pick out of Arizona. Great pick by the new GM. 29. Pittsburgh Steelers: Felix Rodriguez, OG, Temple - A Grade From Philly to Pittsburgh. Steelers get an excellent run blocking interior lineman as the first guard in the class taken. Rodriguez will be an option to block for QB Robert Morris 30. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kenny Daniel, ILB, Wake Forest - A Grade After a CB pick early, the Jags go and get XX with their 2nd of 3 first round picks. Incredible selection as arguably the best linebacker in the class, the Jags have their future MIKE as they completely revamp their defense. 31. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dashaun Ceciliani, CB, Alabama - C- Grade Jags complete their 1st round with their 3rd defensive player in a complete revamp of their defense. I DONT GIVE A PISS BOUT NOTHING BUT THE TIDE. 32. Los Angeles Chargers: Jorge Jacobs, C, Wake Forest - D Grade Chargers desperately wanted Shazier at their pick, and they get a consolation prize with another Center in the class. A bit of a reach, but Deanster is happy. Round 2 33. Indianapolis Colts: Justin Cooper, OG, Troy - D Grade 34. San Francisco 49ers: Paul Fowler, DE, Georgia Southern - A Grade 35. Minnesota Vikings: Rasheed Downs, OLB, Notre Dame - B+ Grade 36. New York Giants: Sam Voth, CB, ILLI - A Grade 37. Dallas Cowboys: Francisco Smith, OT, Washington - A Grade 38. Miami Dolphins: Robinzon Terrell, DT, Washington - D Grade 39. Houston Texans: John Massie, OG, Army - B- Grade 40. Atlanta Falcons: Alex Hitchens, OG, Arkansas - A Grade 41. Miami Dolphins: Jordan Dickson, FS, Mississippi State - D Grade 42. Baltimore Ravens: Nick Concepcion, DE, Alabama - IDONTGIVEAPISS D Grade 43. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Wood, WR, USC - A Grade 44. Minnesota Vikings: Yogi Oladipo, RB, Colorado - D Grade 45. Atlanta Falcons: David Brown Jr. OLB, Central Michigan - D Grade 46. Green Bay Packers: Michael Rozier, ILB, Illinois - D Grade 47. Cleveland Browns: Isaiah Williams, CB, Northern Illinois - C+ Grade 48. Carolina Panthers: Jose Jones, WR, Wake Forest - D Grade 49. Philadelphia Eagles: DaQuan Badgley, RB, Louisiana-Monroe - D Grade 50. Seattle Seahawks: Joe Edmunds, WR, Middle Tennessee - D Grade 51. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Ja'Wuan Gray, OLB, CAL - D Grade 52. Philadelphia Eagles: Riley Correa, CB, Miami (FL) - B- Grade 53. Chicago Bears: Cesar Whitehead, DT, Michigan State - C+ Grade 54. New York Jets: Ronald Baker, K, Notre Dame - A Grade 55. Houston Texans: Deante Hedges, CB, Ole Miss - D Grade 56. Jacksonville Jaguars: Rashard Hilliard, CB, Georgia State - A Grade 57. Dallas Cowboys: Jose Moustakas, OG, Kansas - C+ Grade 58. Miami Dolphins: Brad Portis, CB, Wake Forest - B- Grade 59. Kansas City Chiefs: Brad Adams, OT, San Diego State - A Grade 60. New Orleans Saints: Justin Ramirez, SS, LSU - A- Grade 61. Pittsburgh Steelers: Benardrick Taylor, DE, Boise State - A Grade 62. San Francisco 49ers: Mike Barr, FS, Oklahoma - D Grade 63. Los Angeles Chargers: Phillip Bell, DT, Bowling Green - A- Grade 64.
