Popular Post Weeze Posted August 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 5, 2022 Around the country, schools are are competing hard on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Between game days however, the coaching staffs are still fighting just as hard even if the rest of the team isn't on the field. High school kids all around the country are getting phone calls, visits, and E-mails from coaches trying to convince these kids to become the future stars of their programs. A few weeks into the season, we are starting to see a few recruits start to commit. Some, like Baylors new OLB, kept it short and sweet. A simple Tweet alerted the Baylor faithful of his decision to Join the Gold and Green in Texas. Others, like the OL from Maryland, Shawn Johnson, were loud and boastful! Full of personality and promise, this firecracker is sure to be a handful on and off the field for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Fans love to see this high energy...but your play better back it up, because your rival fans have even better memories and will for sure be the first ones to bring it up should you not live up to the hype Mr Johnson. Others like to keep it classy and professional. But here we see that its not only the school that some of these recruits are committing to. Its the coaches. Juan Corral, a top notch TE prospect, announced his intentions to head to West Virginia next fall, but also announced he only wanted to play for Coach Smackemz. Should the coach leave the coach and go else where, you almost wonder if the player will follow. Of course we are seeing more than just commitment tweets from recruits. We are seeing recruits post their thoughts and feelings about schools in real time as things happen and change. Some are important... Some are a little less important... There is still plenty of season left, lots of recruiting, and plenty of time for these star athletes to post their thoughts on the ever evolving state of the college football state. Comeback soon for Volume 2 where I will have more time to type something up, games will have been posted so i can be sassier with my tweets, and possibly see several more commits. 11
alexfall862 Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Shawn Johnson and Jon Kwiecien aren't twitter verified? Buncha losers I didn't want to recruit anyway, then. 1 1
Weeze Posted August 8, 2022 Author Posted August 8, 2022 Part 2: Recruiting is heating up. We are starting to see some schools pull away on certain recruits, on others, we are seeing competitions heat up and get more intense. we are back for Part two! of recruit tweets! We have some really good ones for this installment. The Strong Favorite to commit to Tennessee had some words. Maybe he is getting cold feet and deciding he doesn't wanna be stuck in Tennessee? Begging for someone to come in and save him. But Moran isn't the only Tennessee recruit making noise out on the twitterverse, Roger London, a highly desired recruit, putting out there that he was still open for business. But I have to imagine the Recruiting staff at Tennessee have different plans. They are going to be doing whatever they can to officially lock him down. Tulane had some happy news. A major big time lock down in Jose Hernandez. The GreenWave are going to be ecstatic to lock down such a major target. FSU has had a tough year. Losing the parodical son in Matt Howard last year to the draft, however perhaps they found someone who could be the second coming. Brad Pogue seems to have already embraced his new home with glee and embodied the spirit of Matt Howard. The Aggies put a 43-3 beat down on the University Florida this past Saturday at College station. It was enough to be the final bullet in Juan Lopez recruiting. The aggies won two major victories this weekend. Florida on the other hand, lost twice. What better way to announce your intent on heading to West Virginia than to tweet out a little Country Roads by John Denver. Thats it for this Volume of Recruit Tweets! Comeback soon for another exciting adventure of recruit tweets. If you happen to see any exciting or news worthy tweets, be sure to send them in and maybe they will get posted in the next volume of Recruit Tweets! 4

SyndaKyt Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 That’s rich coming from a Tennessee coach. I heard Savage flunked out of school but you begged to let you recruit him! 1
