kgreene829 Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 The Miami Herald The Miami Heat have been red hot and are currently the hottest team in basketball. Ever since the Allstar break the Heat have gone 11-1. Starting the second half of the season off with a 5 game win streak and then following it up with a 6 game win streak after a close loss to Vancouver. Lead by Star player Blake Watts incredible performance. But Miami has been able to find production from everywhere and not just their stars. Night after night they get big performances from not just the stars but Rookie Jessie Rodriguez and SG Jeffrey Allison have picked up the scoring when the big three goes cold. Miami's offense revolves around them being able to score from beyond the arc and they have been doing that well shooting above 40% from 3 in their last 2 games and shooting above 30% from 3 every game and shooting above 40% from 3 in 8 of the 12 games since the Allstar break including 2 games where they made over 50% of their 3 pointers. The race for the East is starting to heat up but with this amazing run the Heat have taken first place. Don't sleep on the Magic and the Nets who have stayed right in the conversation and for good reason. All in all it looks like the end of the season will be exciting so make sure to tune in every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday to watch as your Miami Heat attempt to keep this momentum going and clench the first seed in the East.
