Duke downs Seton Hall in defensive battle 62-57

The Seton Hall Pirates made a valiant effort on Thursday to slow the game down in hopes of holding off the Blue Devils, however, it just wasn't enough in the end. Duke freshman Kyle Singler (shown above) almost achieved a double-double in the win, while DeMarcus Nelson led the team with 16 points to help propel Duke to victory for their second win of the season. Seton Hall's senior guard, Jamar Nutter, scored a team high 19 points off the bench, but his team ultimately fell to start the season 0-1.

Really pulled away in the second half. That Brian Laing is a special player.

Thanks dude really appreciate it. I have Laing playing at the 4 and he's been getting a ton of offensive boards and putbacks these first couple of games. The thing is that we've played two games vs super small teams. Lance Thomas is a small forward for the Knicks irl now at 6-8 and was playing the 5 for Duke, while Loyola, albeit they suck, their biggest guy was only 6-7.
