HB Antonio Andrews celebrates during a touchdown run in the first quarter.

Morgan State gave Western Kentucky nothing to worry about this year.

The Hilltoppers sent Morgan State back across Bowling Green to their dorms with ease.

HB Antonio Andrews was undoubtedly the star of the game. His performance tonight almost mirrored his performance last week, running for over 150 yards and four touchdowns. "It's great to see him starting to get on a roll," says WKU's OC Jeff Brohm, "Obviously the defenses we're going to be going up against are going to get better, but it's great to see consistency from him."

The Hilltoppers also created plenty of havoc on defense, forcing 11 sacks in total. MLB Andrew Jackson and DT Calvin Washington both had three sacks in the game. "We were stronger on the line tonight," says Washington, "They made mistakes and I feel like we capitalized on all of them."

Western Kentucky will host Navy (0-2) in their first and only regionally broadcast game next Saturday at 7:00 PM.

^ Short update due to it being against a FCS school.

Going to try to incorporate a storyline or a rivalry so that I can cut out all the FCS games from here on out.

WKU losing ground on top prospect
    wkuinsider.com

Bobby Petrino and the rest of the Western Kentucky staff have been quiet on who most of their targets this recruiting season are, except for a few young players.

Three star CB Jake McCarty is one of the few they've spoke on publicly.

The young corner out of Hinesville, a small city in Southeastern Georgia, is one of the fastest recruits coming into college football this year. McCarty's average of a 4.3 40 at major camps puts him atop of the list in the Class of 2013.

"McCarty will be a key player for whatever defense he plays for," says Western Kentucky's Head Coach Bobby Petrino, "I don't think there is anybody in college football right now that is faster than him."

Early in the season, McCarty appeared to be a lock for the Hilltoppers, but that no longer appears to be the case. Georgia State has quickly taken the lead (per 24/7 sports) on McCarty. Many believe that Georgia State's proximity to home is a key selling point for McCarty. However, Western Kentucky hopes that it's defensive prestige will help reel in the corner.

McCarty will be in Bowling Green during week nine to watch the Hilltoppers take on Troy.
