    In terms of hip-hop albums Piņata is my favorite release so far. Overall I enjoyed Lykke Li's I Never Learn the most.

    Listened to my contenders one more time before posting. The dinosaur in me wanted to go with Judas Priest's "Redeemer of Souls" and if it had been recorded by an 80's Priest it would have been no contest. But I give the nod to Black Label Society's "Catacombs of the Black Vatican". Honorable mentions to porter's pick ("Gargola" by Chevelle) and "Living in a Dream" by The War on Drugs.
